Type: Impressionistic
Pranav Aggarwal's "Tulip Garden" is a vibrant and expressive artwork, spanning 26" x 38" and crafted with acrylic colour using unconventional tools such as toothbrushes, knives, fingers, and sponges on canvas. The artist's profound love for colour and nature is evident in this unique composition, showcasing meadows adorned with Tulips and Daffodils in their full glory, radiating a sense of happiness and ecstasy. Categorized as an impressionistic painting, "Tulip Garden" is divided into two distinct sections—the upper and lower portions. The upper section portrays a landscape scene with meadows, Tulips, Daffodils, and a brilliant blue sky. The blue sky is 40 per cent of the canvas made in portrait form. The clear sky is depicted with shades of light and dark blue strokes, showcasing the artist's adept use of water in the painting. A faint yellow line divides the two sections, seamlessly diffusing and blending with the light green background of the lower layer. In the lower section, broad vertical strokes of gipsy green ascend, representing long grass shoots in the meadows. The background of the meadow is a darker shade of green in the lower 35 per cent with a lighter shade in the upper 25 per cent of the meadow part of the painting. Numerous twenty-five Tulips and about Forty small Daffodilss fill this lower part, displaying a vibrant array of colours—purple, red, orange, pink, and white with orange interiors. Red and orange Tulips dominate in number, contributing to the overall joyous atmosphere. Daffodils, depicted in white with yellow accents, further enhance the lively composition. Adding to the dynamic scene, Tulips and Black Eyed Susan appear to float vertically into the sky above, with the red and orange Tulips standing out prominently against the blue sky. These airborne flowers, about ten Daffodils, at least five times larger in size than their grounded counterparts, create a visual spectacle reminiscent of flames ascending. In this section, Black-eyed susan flowers are typically yellow petals with a black-brown centre, about five of them are seen between the Tulips., all connected by brown stems. To complete the masterpiece, Aggarwal employs a unique technique by speckling the canvas with paint sprayed using a toothbrush. White spray graces the bottom section, while green spray adorns the top section, adding a touch of spontaneity and texture to the overall composition. Pranav Aggarwal's "Tulip Garden" is a testament to the artist's mastery of colour and technique, offering viewers a delightful and immersive experience in the beauty of nature.
